Ilaw is proud and delighted to have been shortlisted by The Lawyer, the premier legal awards in the UK, for the Boutique Firm of the Year award.
It is the second time iLaw has been nominated in this category by The Lawyer. Last year, the firm was also shortlisted for the Boutique Firm of the Year award in two other prestigious awards – the British Legal Awards in association with Legal Week and the Law Society’s Excellence Awards.
Mark Culbert, one of the firm’s founders, commented: “When Justin and I founded iLaw fifteen years ago, we couldn’t have imagined the financial crash that took place just two years later, let alone the Covid pandemic that we’re now hopefully emerging from. But those, and all the other slings and arrows of outrageous fortune that we’ve encountered along the way, have, we’d like to think, made us a better firm.”
Co-founder Justin Ellis said: “It’s great to be recognised again as one of the UK’s leading boutique law firms. Our niche is acting for innovators, and by innovators, we don’t just mean clients in the technology sectors, but anybody who does things better by doing those things differently. The last 18 months have certainly forced us all to do things differently. Judging by our results over the past year, our clients must think we’re doing those things better too.” He added “Our shortlistings by the three leading awards in the legal sector have come along in quick succession, like London buses.”
