Julian Cox heads iLaw’s employment law practice. He is a specialist employment lawyer with over 20 years’ experience. Julian has built his reputation on providing clients with practical commercially focused strategies and solutions to their employment law problems.
He started his career in house originally, working for a number of years for a FTSE 100 organisation, before returning to private practice in the City where he has been based for the last 15 years.
Julian acts for both employers and employees. He has a wide client base predominately located in London and the City – from global companies to SMEs and entrepreneurs.
He has extensive experience across a variety of sectors including: financial services; insurance and reinsurance; technology; hospitality; human resources; logistics; property and construction.
Julian’s practice covers all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious – from drafting employment contracts and HR policies to litigation in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, and the High Court. He also provides specialist in house HR training to HR directors and managers. He has also built up a highly successful settlement agreement service for employees. In addition, Julian also advises and assists clients with their business immigration requirements.
Julian’s high profile reported cases include RCO v Unison and others in the Court of Appeal and Jackson v Ghost in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Julian regularly writes for the legal press and various high profile industry sector publications. He has also made various television appearances as a commentator on a number of topical employment law issues.
